ERME Regulations for the Graham Littler Fund allowing financial support for the participation at CERME conferences

General Information about the Graham Littler Fund

The Graham Littler Fund (GLF) for financial support was established to support academics from underrepresented or economically weak countries in attending the bi-annual CERME conferences. The spirit of GLF is to help academics who would normally have limited access to CERME.

According to these ideas, the funds will be distributed according to the following criteria:

1.  REGION: Only applicants with affiliation in European, or neighbouring countries, will be considered.
2.  AFFLUENCE: Applications will be scored based on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country of affiliation of the applicant.
3.  PREVIOUS REPRESENTATION: Preference will be given to applicants with affiliation in countries that have been under-represented at previous CERME conferences.
4.  PREVIOUS GLF: Preference will be given to applicants who have not received previous funding from GLF

Please note that master’s students are not eligible for the Graham Littler Fund.

Financial support from GLF will be granted to applicants having few opportunities to receive other support, with a submitted research paper for a CERME Working Group, and that has been accepted in the reviewing process (in special cases an accepted poster for presentation could be a prerequisite for granting support). Normally only one author of a paper - usually the first author - can be funded. Participants, who work as a co-leader of a TWG are eligible for funding without being the first author of an accepted paper.

The strict deadline for the application is 15 September 2026.

The number and size of grants will depend on the amount of money available to the Fund in a particular year as well as on the number of applications. The support will primarily  consist of reduced or waived conference fees. The decisions will be taken by the ERME Board.
